7. How do you use AQuify Multi-Purpose Solution with the PRO-GUARD™ lens case?

| AQuify Multi-Purpose Solution activates the silver ions in the PRO-GUARD™ lens case. Patients should follow these steps:
Clean and disinfect contact lenses according to package instructions. Once contacts have soaked for the required time and contact lenses have been inserted on the eye, pour out the old solution, rinse the case with fresh AQuify Multi-Purpose Solution, then recap the lens case. The slight moisture held inside the case will allow the silver ions to continue working to kill germs. |
8. What makes the PRO-GUARD™ lens case different? |
| The PRO-GUARD™ lens case is infused with an antimicrobial agent, silver ions, to help minimize contamination of the lens case. The silver ions gradually release to the surface of the case as the case is exposed to moisture. This slow sustained release maintains the antimicrobial agent at the lens case surface, where bacteria are known to attach and grow. |
9. Is the PRO-GUARD™ lens case safe for those allergic to silver or other metals? |

| You can store lenses in the unopened PRO-GUARD™ lens case for up to 30 days in AQuify Multi-Purpose Solution. After 30 days, discard the old solution and repeat the 4-hour soak regimen. |

| You should dispose of your old PRO-GUARD™ lens case with each new purchase of AQuify Multi-Purpose Solution. A free new lens case is supplied in each package of AQuify Multi-Purpose Solution. |
12. I've heard I should leave my case open to air dry. Why are your instructions different? |
| Because the PRO-GUARD™ lens case is different. The antimicrobial agent in the PRO-GUARD™ lens case becomes active with moisture, and the most effective use of the case is to pour out the old solution, rinse the case with fresh AQuify Multi-Purpose Solution and then recap the case in between uses. By capping the PRO-GUARD lens case in between disinfection cycles, the slight moisture held inside the case will allow the silver ions to continue working to kill germs. When used as directed, the PRO-GUARD™ lens case is clinically proven to reduce lens case contamination by 40%2. Case contamination can occur in between disinfection cycles; by capping the case in between disinfection cycles, the silver ions remain active. |
13. What if I use the PRO-GUARD™ lens case with other MPS solutions/brands? |
